RH 3 Update1

I have an Enterprise 3 ES with seagate drives and used to have the Abort =
error.
Then I read about the seagate firmware update and that fixed this error.

Now, I just had a disk really fail (the controller cannot detect it=20
anymore) and the system crashed.
I had a hot swap disk with automatic failover enabled.
After the crash, I rebooted the system and the adaptec BIOS POST detected=
=20
the failed drive and started the rebuild.
The system booted and I enabled fsck and everything is OK now.

But WHY does the system crash if a drive fails? Shouldn=B4t it be handled=
 by=20
the HBA?

I have now firmware B6008. I noticed that B6011 is out but I am afraid it=
=20
will not solve it, as nothing is stated.
Has anyone tested it? And what about the problem... Any clues?
Is there a way to configure the HBA to report errors to a logfile?
