	You should be able to edit your /etc/network/interfaces file so that when you run ifup wlan0 (as root) all will work.  Your config looks fine from my quick glance at it.  As long as you have wlan and usb support and the code compiled without problem it shouldn't be an issue with the 2.4.26 kernel.
