Emerge'ing CVS and using the latest drivers worked! (I was using the CVS
snapshot previously).

Hi Mark,

I could not find anything specific in your error messages. I tried to 
compile the driver myself one hour ago on a gentoo system too and it 
works without problems. Maybe it helps to update your kernel to 2.6.9 
(gentoo-dev-sources) and to get the latest driver version from cvs. 
There a instructions how to do this on the driver website, you need to 
emerge cvs though. Hope this helps.
