AFAIK, the firmware is uploaded to the NIC when the driver is loaded. The firmware remains in memory as long as the USB device has maintenance voltage. The easiest way to "uninstall" the firmware is to completely unplug the NIC. There is no need to uninstall & reinstall the windows driver. Interestingly enough, I have had the windows firmware block the linux firmware (as shipped with at76c503-berlios) from loading. Balint, have you tried unplugging your NIC from USB? Cheers, Nick
