Continuous Rx/Tx without AP

Hi,

My company's product using this driver is in the process of undergoing
EMC testing, and the testers are asking for us to do some reasonably
esoteric things with it.  The ones we're looking at now involve putting
the adapter into Transmit mode (without providing it any data to send)
for a while, and putting it into Receive mode in a similar manner.

Ideally it would be possible to tell the dongle a channel to work on and
do this Rx/Tx without even having an AP present.  This should be
possible, as we've been given a binary of a windows app that claims to
do exactly this with the Atmel dongle.

Is this kind of functionality possible with this driver?  If not, does
anyone have any ideas about hacking it in?
