Netstumbler is an active scanner, meaning it is asking for active APs. 
Kismet is a passive scanner which just recieves packets. But I do only 
get the BEACON-Packets but no data packets which other clients send to 
the AP or packets which are sent by the AP to other clients than me (I'm 
not even associated with the AP because I'm in monitor-mode).
Can someone explain me, why it uses a "faked" monitor-mode which doesn't 
catch any data-packets?
