The firmware on the card does not allow for real monitor mode. It only passes on the management beacons when not associated with an AP, so these cards will never be able to truly scan for APs or detect hidden APs unless someone starts messing w/ the firmware blob, which is far beyond my skills. Also, just wanted to say thank you so much to the guys that have brought this project back alive.
