linksys WUSB11 v2.6 working

just wanted to mention that i have gotten my wusb11 2.6 working with the 
<http://at76c503a.berlios.de/> at76c503a driver and the 1.101.0-84 
firmware. i'm using the latest CVS tarball without the Dossy patch, 
running on Mandrake 9.2. one interesting thing though. after i do 
"iwconfig wlan0 essid <my-essid> mode managed etc...", the adapter does 
not report a link and iwconfig reports the AP as 00:00:00:00:00:00 until 
i manually assign an IP to wlan0. then everything works fine. anybody 
know why this is?

also, what is the outlook on supporting promiscuous/monitor mode in the 
future?
