the latest cvs version (0.12beta6) contains a work-around
for a problem with usb-uhci under 2.4.x, which didn't work reliably
either. It shows up at my site when usb-uhci is used (uhci works fine)
and the WLAN adapter is connected to the root hub, not another hub
(my usual, more comfortable test setup). AFAIR the root hub is VIA, while
my Intel PIIX4 works fine.

In this config I get crashes when the netdevice is opened ("ifconfig wlan0
...").
Have you got a similar configuration?

The internal structure of the driver changed after 0.11 to support 2.4.x
and 2.6.x with a single source, which in turn caused the above problem.

I'll undo the above (non-working) work-around in the cvs (0.12beta7), but
then you'll probably see no wlan device at all :-(.
I'd like to wait with any bugfix until Alan Stern has changed the USB reset
behaviour in 2.6 (which will almost certainly break the driver for 2.6.x)
and try to find a solution for both kernel branches afterwards.

Until then, please try uhci, a separate hub or go back to version 0.11.
