Current status of restricted mode

A while back you discussed the use of restricted mode.

I certainly don't object! 
I am currently trying to setup some system with multiple iwconfig settings and 
avoiding iwpriv or module parameter. Did you make this change yet to CVS? The 
code for auth_mode seems still to be there. So I am a bit confused as to the 
current status.
