Anyone with successfull experiences on this Linksys (now CISCO) USB WLAN on RedHat 9.0 or FEDORA?

I now regret to have purchased the latest LINKSYS WUSB frm Walmart?? I rather had gotten the old ver 2.6!!!

Any promiscouos mode to sniff SSID for monitoring ID and power and quality levels on this WUSB?
