anyone have it working with devfs?

I have a problem with  my Linksys WUSB11 v2.6 causing the system to freeze
when it's plugged in. I'm using Gentoo, 2.4.24 vanilla, the ohci module,
and devfs for /dev.

Does anyone else use devfs with the ohci modules? Or with a WUSB11 v2.6/2.8?
I think it may be causing the lockups, but I can't know for sure without
feedback.
