Hi! 

I think I have a similar problem than the one Andrew Yates reported a couple of
weeks ago (postings "USB11 v2.6 causes system to freeze" and "Question for
anyone using Gentoo, USB 2.0, or a Biostar motherboard".) 

I also have Gentoo Linux. I have tried versions 2.4.25-r1 and 2.4.25-r2 of
gentoo-sources as well as vanilla-sources 2.4.26. I have also tried versions
0.10 and 0.11 of the berlios driver. My motherboard is Abit NF7-S ver. 2.0
(nForce 2) and my adapter is TekComm USB WLAN adapter (fccid: IIO-0232USB611,
vid: 0x1371, pid: 0x0002). 

My computer doesn't usually freeze. Only the network "freezes" after a while
(from few seconds to tens of minutes). Unplugging the USB device, trying to
restart (or stop) the wlan interface or shutting down the computer after the
freeze will cause a kernel panic (This msg with version 0.10 of the driver.
Copied by hand, hopefully correctly):

The last lines in syslog after the network freezes are 
at76c503.c: wlan0: timeout, state 7

Since last week, I used the driver (ver. 0.10) without any problems under Debian
Woody. It worked fine with kernel versions 2.4.25 and 2.4.26 (both downloaded
directly from www.kernel.org). The signal should not very weak as the adapter
works fine in Windows XP (I have a dual boot system). 

If there is something that I could try or check, please, let me know what (and
how :)
