at76c503 and open1x?

Hello,

I'm using a Belkin F5D6050 on a Fedora system which has the at76c503 
driver.  Our school is about ready to implement a campus-wide wireless 
network using an 802.1x authentication scheme (with dynamic WEP).  As 
far as I know, the only software available for Linux in such an 
environment is from open1x.org.  According to the README.wireless_cards 
file in the latest xsupplicant distribution, the "default driver [for 
atmel cards] resets when new WEP keys are applied.  There is a patch 
included with XSupplicant (in the drivers directory) that fixes this 
problem."

My question is whether the at76c503 driver also suffers from this 
problem.  Will I be able to use the latest xsupplicant release out of 
the box?  Will the patch included with xsupplicant fix the problem?
