Jörg + All OK - Sorry to bombard the list but this is positively the last bit of info I can give at the moment. This is the result of booting with the Belkin unplugged but the etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-wlan0 file in place. Connecting the Belkin causes an instant system lock-up. This is the output from /var/log/messages. I'm not sure it helps.... ********************************************************************* Jun 9 17:05:04 localhost kernel: usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using address 2 Jun 9 17:05:06 localhost kernel: /wireless/cvs/at76c503a/usbdfu.c: USB Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU) handler v0.12beta12 loading Jun 9 17:05:06 localhost kernel: /wireless/cvs/at76c503a/at76c503.c: Generic Atmel at76c503/at76c505 routines v0.12beta12 Jun 9 17:05:06 localhost kernel: /wireless/cvs/at76c503a/at76c503-fw_skel.c: Atmel at76c503 (RFMD/Accton) Wireless LAN Driver v0.12beta12 loading Jun 9 17:05:06 localhost kernel: usbcore: registered new driver at76c503-rfmd-acc Jun 9 17:05:08 localhost kernel: /wireless/cvs/at76c503a/at76c503.c: $Id: at76c503.c,v 1.55 2004/05/31 13:59:27 jal2 Exp $ compiled Jun 7 2004 20:46:03 Freeze!.....
