Hi, We are trying to configure a belkin USB wireless card with the at76c503 driver. We have used this driver on an other pc with the same card successfully but we cannot configure it on a particular pc. We beleive the problem is similar to the problem mentioned in the post http://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/at76c503a-user/2003-April/000092.html as we see in the log : usb.c: USB disconnect on device 00:1d.2-1 address 3 we have tried with the usb driver usb-uhci uhci and ehci-hcd. What is very strange with that problem is that the wlan0 interface appears after with plug the card. We can even modify its configuration with iwconfig. But when we use ifconfig to set the interface up, the orange led does not go green and the interface does not go up. Also, if we try to configure an ip with ifconfig, we see the led flashing a little bit and returning to orange, the ip is not configured successufully and the interface does not go up. Instead, we have the disconnect message in the log. Is there a patch for that problem as mentioned in the following post by Jörg who says the following : "I'll forward an old mail to you with some findings and the patch of hub.c." thanks in advance for your help, -- Vincent Guffens PhD Student UCL/CESAME tel: +32 10 47 80 30 Value your freedom, or you will lose it, teaches history.
