Depends on what you're looking for. The 802.11 standard is avail. for
free. Some WLAN books provide short intros to the modes, too. Ask in the
ml.

AFAIK AMD provides a Linux driver for customers of their RDK, but not for
end customers. Maybe if enough people ask Sitecom or AMD ...
