WUSB11 v2.6 Not Quite Working

I am having a difficult time getting this adapter to work.  I was
successfully running this under Mandrake 9.1.  But when I re-installed
9.2, the adapter will no longer function.  I've spent weeks reading,
reinstalling, and trying both the atmel drivers and the at76c503-rfmd
drivers.   The PC is a dual boot WinXP/Linux Mandrake.  Everything works
great under Windows.  Dual booting was working fine until I tried to
re-install.
 
I have logs and output ready to send but I don't know where to start!
Please, someone help me get this beast working.  I'm about to go back to
<gasp> WinXP.
