I have been tring to get this combination to work for a month. I got it to work twice except it did not come up at boot time and could not unplug it without hanging the USB support. so I started reconfiguring /etc/modules.conf and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts. That's when it stopped working. I am at the point now where I get this from /var/log/messages on my Laptop: usb vendor/product=77b/2219 flags 00000288 ctrl_wait c60d02c0 wait @ c7ea5e78 Adpater @ c11fe000 vnet_kernel.c: Reseting Usb Device When I unplug the WiFi device I get: uhci.c: 2000: host controller halted. very bad On my desktop I get device does not exist when I do a ifup. Both are configured the same with different results. 'uhci' will insert on the laptop but not the desktop. I have in /etc/modules.conf: alias usb-controller uhci alias eth1 usbvnetr I have compiled usbvnetr with debugging turned on but I don't get any messages that are of any help. Is there some magic I am missing here??? Thanks for your time. WIlliam Estrada
