WPA firmware

I have an SMC 2632W V.2 PCMCIA card and I'm not clear on whether I have 
to update the firmware for WPA support and, if so, how I do it.  From 
the README it sound like it's only possible for USB devices, but is that 
right?  Is there a WPA-compatible firmware for my card?  I'd like to use 
it with this driver but the AP requires that I use WPA.  Any help would 
be great.
