see
- man ksymoops
- /usr/src/linux/Documentation/oops-tracing.txt
Take care to feed a ksyms including symbols of loaded modules into
ksymoops.

Strange, does "depmod -ae" display any errors?
Try
  insmod usbdfu
  grep usbdfu /proc/ksyms
Does usbdfu load successfully?
How do the symbols of usbdfu look like?
I usually do a "modprobe -v at76c503-rfmd" and let it take the
dep list generated by depmod -a.

Could you please confirm this - either grep for SMP in .config / autoconf.h
matching your kernel or grep for smp in /proc/ksyms ?!
