try a "tcpdump -xi wlan0" on 10.0.0.4 while pinging, does this show any
rx data?
If you got the arp responses from the AP and the host behind, your
wireless connection should be OK.

Guess you have bit 7 set in debug=xxx of at76c503.o to see the
rx_data, could you also enable bit 8 (e.g. debug=0x100183)?
This would show more of the incoming data.

Do you have any URL at TEW's website for it (just curious how it looks like
and what the Windows driver is made of). Any Windows tool to upgrade
the firmware? I've never tested the Berlios with that old firmware,
which may well contain a number of bugs :-(
Try to get an fw update from TEW!
