Berlios driver with Intersil fw 0.84 (was Re: Problem with TEW-USB WEP)

either the old firmware reports a wrong length or the driver calc. the
wrong one before it puts it up to the Linux network stack.

Unfortunately this dump doesn't match the tcpdump output you sent. It
contains ARP request and netbios where the lengths looked OK.
Could you please try again and send the corresponding syslog? Try to find
the hex patterns of the tcpdump (like

) in the syslog "packet: " lines.

yes, seems to be firmware version 0.90.0.2 - both inside the *.SYS file
and in the *.ROM. Is there any tool on the original CD-ROM to update the
firmware? It might work with the *rom files.
There is a similar problem with ADDTRON AWU120 devices, having flash with
firmware version 0.84.0, but I haven't heard anything from Tommy or rick
in the last weeks:

I'd prefer to find a way to update the firmware inside your device over
adapting the Berlios driver to cope with 0.84.0. I fear this old version
contains ancient bugs etc.
Did TEW respond to your request for a newer firmware?
