RE: eepro100 on SuSE Linux

All the switch ports here are hard-coded for 100/Full.  That's why I'm
trying for that particular setting.

I am running mii-diag as root, and that is what I get.  How do I check / set
CAP_NET_ADMIN capability?

I tried setting options to 0x200 (as in the doc) but that didn't work
either.  Forgot to mention that in my original posting.

Why should it be full duplex?
Setting to forced-full-duplex should never be used.  If autonegotiation
is broken with your switch, you should use half duplex.

You must be 'root' to change the setting.
(More precisely, you must have the CAP_NET_ADMIN capability.)

Urrgggg.  You have set the speed to forced half duplex.

Huh?  Using options=0x100 sets the transceiver to forced 100-half.
You could use  options=0x200, but you should just use mii-diag as root.
