eepro100 problem

Hi there. 
 
Ive been all over the net to find a solution for the eepro100 network card, that freezes
up the 
machine as soon as allot of traffic is running over it? 
I've come accross so many sites and newsgroups that say many different things. 
 
Would you be kind enough to tell me if there IS a solution to this problem, and, if there
is, what 
is it? 
 
You're help would REALLY, REALLY be appreciated.
