This is a modified driver that split from my development.  There are
usually several additional lines that say "modified by ..."

It's easier to do:

mkdir /tmp/netdrivers/
cd /tmp/netdrivers/
ncftpget ftp://ftp.scyld.com/pub/network/netdrivers.tgz
tar xfvz netdrivers.tgz
make
make install
