About Intel adapter problems

I have traced the problem to a badly wired ethernet cable.

I have re-wired the jacks correctly and everything is in place. It is 
strange that the cable was working correctly under Windows all this time.

I guess the driver depends on particular wiring to work properly.

Note however that I never saw my message to the list and received no 
reply whatsoever.
