Disabling some interfaces on a multiple interface card

Hi,

I have a system that has several interfaces that use the eepro100
driver.  When the eepro100 module is loaded, all of these interfaces
show up with an 'ifconfig -a' regardless of whether they have an IP
address configured.  I only want to use some of these interfaces.  Is it
possible to disable some of them so they do not show up in ifconfig?
Perhaps there is some option that can be passed to the module?
