I was trying to find out how to set the eepro100 duplex from the kernel parameters via the ether= argument. The information at http://www.scyld.com/network/eepro100.html in the "Configuration Options" section mentions option values for use in modules.conf and on the kernel command line. There are 2 versions of the options one for version 1.14 and earlier and 1.15 and later. I tried using the 1.15 verion with my 1.36 driver. didn't work. I checked the source, and 1.36 (downloaded from kernel.org as part of the 2.4.19 kernel source) is using the old (1.14) option values. Somebody might want to fix this document. thanks, Britt -- Britt Bolen, [email protected], Sledgehammer Engineering, block head.
