Hi, I had an older version of the eepro driver with my debian distribution, which kept dosconnecting. a website talking about this problem suggested upgrade, so I downloaded the latest version, and I can make it work. the ifconfig gives a segmantation fault, and the system hangs when trying to stop the network or rmmod the driver. I mean rmmod just stucks, and no kill will stop it. naturally, no network is working. here are some details: debian system with 2.4.18-bf2.2 kernel on a compaq presario 2700 laptop. the net adaptor is, acording to lspci, 82801CAM, but dmesg sats primary interface chip is i82555 PHY. I also tried an older version -3.2, with the same results thanks Eviatar ------------------------------------- Eviatar Tron, [email protected], http://troncho.netfirms.com "IGNORE THIS MESSAGE"
