Feature request: Reflect the status of modem connection in phone table

Hi Michael,

I hope this email finds you well, thanks for providing the community with
such a great piece of software to work with GSM modems.
I have a feature request, can the connection status of gammu-smsd reflect
in the phone table in gammu's MySQL database?

For example if gammu-smsd does not have any problem and is successfully
connecting/updating the phone/modem status, a status of "connected" may be
used.
And/Or if gammu-smsd have some errors connecting (example: going to sleep
because of too much connection, etc) status maybe "disconnected"?

This way it will be very easy for administrators to know which modem
gammu-smsd is having problem connecting too, or which modem are connected
or disconnected at any given time.

Does this request makes sense? Or is there already a way to know this
information?
