yes for log you could use log options inside your /etc/gammu-smsdrc section
[gammu] or using parameter -d /your-dir/your-file.log with command gammu.
try some basic operations like send sms, receive sms, list inbox, list
outbox, list all files.
if all these commands works great chance that your running gammu-smsd
daemon will run smooth. after running for 5 min look at your smsd log file
(yes it is big, but you will need loglevel 255) for see all things. after
you could use loglevel you want.
