Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, when I try: gammu -c /etc/gammu-smsdrc
getallsms
I get: No response in specified timeout. Probably phone not connected.

Again, the phone is sending is sending messages fine under the gammu-smsd
which is running as  a deamon.
