Hi, Sorry I didn't give enough information. I use BananaPi Pro and Raspbian OS. I downloaded the source code of gammu and compiled it. I can run it from the console. How can I "register" it to system as daemon? I try with sudo service gammu-smsd start but it says gammu-smsd: unrecognized service. Thanks. 2017-01-30 2:12 GMT+01:00 gilberto dos santos alves <[email protected]>: > hi. what dist linux are your system. use daemon manuals of your system. on > windows use services manual. > debian ubuntu use service gammu-smsd start > first steps are more easy with standard packages debian ubuntu for gammu > > Em 28/01/2017 21:32, "Mübin İçyer" <[email protected]> escreveu: > >> Hello, >> >> How can I set gammu-smsd so that it will be started by system at every >> boot? >> In the documentation >> <https://wammu.eu/docs/manual/quick/index.html#running-smsd> it says >> that >> >> The binary packages on Linux usually come with support for starting SMSD >> as a system wide daemon. >> >> With systemd, you can start it by: >> >> $ systemctl start gammu-smsd.service >> >> First, I didn't install it from binary package, second I don't have >> systemctl command. >> Thanks. >> >> ------------------------------------------------------------ >> ------------------ >> Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most >> engaging tech sites, SlashDot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot >> _______________________________________________ >> Gammu-users mailing list - https://lists.sourceforge.net/ >> lists/listinfo/gammu-users >> >> > ------------------------------------------------------------ > ------------------ > Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most > engaging tech sites, SlashDot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot > _______________________________________________ > Gammu-users mailing list - https://lists.sourceforge.net/ > lists/listinfo/gammu-users > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, SlashDot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Gammu-users mailing list - https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gammu-users
