The cleanup on the staging driver is only cosmetic, like putting lipstick on the 
pig!

The vendor releases USB drivers that contain lots of conditional code as it is 
used to generate drivers for Linux, Windows, and FreeBSD. In addition, they use 
techniques that are improper for a driver in the kernel. I estimate that it 
would take at least 6 months to get the one at GitHub into a form that it could 
replace the current staging driver, and probably a year for it to make the 
regular net driver's tree. I have enough to do keeping up with kernel API 
changes, and I will never do the submission to the kernel step. It just is not 
worth it to me.
