I didn't try to scan but printing I have the sane
problem on:
-Slackware 9.1
-hpoj 0.91
compiling from source.
Everything seems ok but when I try to print I get:
"Unable to lookup host 'ptal-cups.in' - Host name
lookup failure"
ptal-cups and ptal-cups.in have been copied in
/usr/lib/cups/backend and have been set to rxw for
owner
ptal-init and ptal-init.in have been moved to
/etc/rc.d and again set to rwx permissions for owner.
/etc/rc.d/ptal-init starts before /etc/rc.d/rc.cups
