Does hpoj now support parallel port on Sparc?

hi,all     
     My box is debian,and shipped package "hpoj" does not compile in "parallel
port".
I have searched in Google, and seems parallel port is only supported on x86
platform
due to lack of "io.h". am I right? Is this problem now solved?
     I have been assigned a task to configure a printer on ultrasparc.My printer
is LaserJet 1100A and works well on my athlon debian.
