HP psc 1350 - well supported for scanning?

Hi,
   I wanted to pick up a psc 1350 today as a second printer but mostly
because we really need a scanner. I wanted to check that scanning is
well supported under Linux with this printer.

   Also I'm not at all clear whether this is a separate driver only
and I still use Sane as the front-end app for scanning. Can someone
with knowledge about these printers please confirm or deny?
