Hi !

I had a try of new PH 4219 Scan/Printer/Copier/Fax on Mandrake 10.1.

I installed HPLIP 0.8.8, launched the service, then launched CUPS.

I configured the Printer with KControl (choosed HP 4200 backend), and...it
simply worked.

I could easily print a test page or launch xsane for scanning.

The only thing is the lower part of the frame of the CUPS test page is not
printed (still this ennoying bug in Ghostscript ?).

I have no idea how to acces the modem of this machine, but I am not sure it is
possible with Windows.

For your information, 421x series are naked, when 425x contain a phone.

I found nothing about any GUI. I remember I tried to install one some time
ago, but I don't exactly remember how.

I think this printer should be added in Linuxprinting.org, at least as working
mostly, and should be proposed in the list when configuring CUPS (it is a bit
confusing choosing HP 4200 when you have a 4219).

Many thanks

Gerard
