Hi everybody.
This is the second time I try to configure my HP Multifunction Printer (PSC
1410) using hpoj on FreeBSD (the first one on 4.11, now on 6.0 - amd64).
But, for both, when I run "ptal-init setup" I receive this error message:

Probing "%/dev/usb0%/dev/ugen0"...
    *** Found "PSC 1400 series" but failed to communicate with it!
    *** Elapsed time for this attempt was 0 second(s).
    *** Check syslog file for ptal-mlcd error messages.
    *** See hpoj documentation for troubleshooting information.

and

Dec 11 10:39:33 localhost ptal-mlcd: ERROR at ExMgr.cpp:3752,
dev=<mlc:usb:probe@%/dev/usb0%/dev/ugen0>, pid=777, e=16, t=1134293973
usb_open failed!

dev=<mlc:usb:probe@%/dev/usb0%/dev/ugen0>, pid=777, e=25, t=1134293973
Couldn't set up print interface!

Useless ro say that hpoj works very fine on Linux.

Is there a solution?

Thank you

emilio
