I have a problem with NetworkManager on Ubuntu 6.06+ (development plus
universe and multiverse repositories). After suspending, nm-applet
tells me that networking is disabled. After reenabling networking,
the wireless network option doesn't show up when I right-click on the
nm-applet icon. Also, left-clicking tells me that no network adapters
are present. When I look at dmesg, it seems that my ipw2200 is
reenabled automatically. Also, iwlist and iwconfig work fine, so this
seems to be NM-specific. I have tried "/etc/init.d/networking
restart", "/etc/init.d/dbus restart" and I've tried killing and
restarting nm-applet. Nothing has worked. I have to restart my
machine.
This is happening with both Ubuntu's packages (network-manager and
network-manager-gnome) and when I build/install NM from CVS.
Any ideas why this isn't working?
Thanks!
Miles
