Re: card not found

Unfortunately it's indeed worse:
the bus just doesn't seem to be able to detect the card.
So this is not going to work. Compaq support only told me that the
machine "wasn't made for this type of card" (duh!).
But apparently this has something to do with the way the southbridge
recognises pci devices. Older machines (pentium 1 class), can not
detect the card.
The strange thing is: most P2 machines do recognise the card.
