These warnings come from the "depmod -a" which is run at the end of the
install procedure. Do you install any of the ipw components
(ieee802.3/ipw) into the kernel? In that case the symbols of these
components are not yet into the running kernel and are thus not known to
depmod -a. If you make all of these modules, it should be possible to
run a depmod -a without warnings, if the proper flags to depmod are
given.

Did you try

 - without encryption
 - wep
 - wpa

BTW latest ieee802.3 + latest ipw work like a charm here. No more random
disconnects. I hold the "roaming=0" module parameter responsible, but I
am not sure.

I will try a little more and then close the bug report.

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
