thanks, that's a permanent fix I was hoping for someone less lazy than me
to find and post here ;) - I'm used to patch the driver with a line with 
my country code. That should (hopely) fix chans list in M$-XP as well (?).

Yes, Acer sucks - they throw in FCC-only cards reagardless of country they
distribute in.

Oh, Packard Bell sucks too - same disservice.
Both know the problem and aren't willing to correct. Either be content with
11 chans, or go add another wlan card (!).
