Hi there,

I don't know what a Linus' tip commit ID is, and don't really want to,
but just in case that helps, I've had problems with my ipw2200 after an
upgrade from 2.6.16 to 2.6.17 on a Debian Etch install.
Now I'm running in 2.6.16 again and the card works again.

While under 2.6.17, I've tried running module-assistant to reinstall the
module, but I had a dependency problem where the ipw2200-source package
depends on debhelper which, apparently, has been removed. Trying to
reinstall debhelper then is not an option because it must remove a lot
of packages like python and openoffice.org.

I don't know if that helps. I can probably give you more info if you
tell me what you need and you're not in too much of a hurry (need to
reboot to get under 2.6.17 and then reboot to send e-mail).

Yannick
