Hello there,

I am sure you do not mind my contacting you out of the blue like this. I
learnt from Linux mailing list site that you were interested in determining
the RSSI. I have the same problem to sort-out and am wondering you can be of
greater help.

I am using Intel Pro Wireless (IPW) 2200BG pci card and downloaded the
necessary source for the driver and ieee802.11. I need to monitor the
received signal strength of packets/frames received from every other
neighbour, when I set the mode to "ad-hoc". Suppose the whole ad hoc network
consists of 6 nodes, and every node should measure the power at which it
receives a packet/frame from every neighbour it has. Eventually, every node
should maintain a table having the neighbour ID and received power of every
packet. This information is needed by my routing protocol (AODV). How can I
grab such information from low-level and use it at the network-layer level ?

Do you have an idea how this can be performed.

Thanks

Siva
