Thanks, Hong ________________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Pascal Fifre Sent: Thursday, November 09, 2006 5:01 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Ipw2100-devel] Failed to scan network with 2200BG Hi, I try to use the IPW2200 on a powerpc platform. Software & firmware versions : 1) v1.2.0 of ipw2200 2) v1.2.15 of iee80211 stack 3) Linux 2.6.16.11 4) v3.0 firmware of 2200BG I make insmod ipw2200.ko to start the driver. Its seems to work at the beginning but when the board scan the network nothing happen... I dumped the channel_results struct on the Scan result notification and the field accumulated_rssi of ipw_cmd_stats indicates there is some network. But when the driver called ipw_associate function, there is nothing in the priv- >ieee->network_list ??? How does the driver or else add network in this network_list ? At the end, the board seems to be shutdown because the driver failed to send anay command => Failed to send SCAN_ABORT. I have a strange trace means that the system try to transmit a frame with no association : ipw_net_hard_start_xmit Tx attempt while not associated. I put the trace of the driver : ieee80211: Copyright (C) 2004-2005 Intel Corporation <[email protected]> ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, 1.2.0kd ipw2200: Copyright(c) 2003-2006 Intel Corporation ieee80211: U alloc_ieee80211 Initializing... ipw2200: U ipw_pci_probe pci_resource_len = 0x00001000 ipw2200: U ipw_pci_probe pci_resource_base = c5052000 ipw2200: U ipw_sw_reset Hardware crypto [off] ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection ipw2200: U ipw_get_fw Read firmware 'ipw2200-bss.fw' image v3.0 (191126 bytes) ipw2200: U ipw_load initial device response after 10ms ipw2200: U ipw_stop_master stop master 0ms ipw2200: U ipw_load_ucode Microcode OK, rev. 23249 (0x5ad1) dev. 3 (0x3) of 11/2 2/04 20:27 ipw2200: U ipw_load device response after 50ms ipw2200: U ipw_eeprom_init_sram Writing EEPROM data into SRAM ipw2200: U ipw_send_adapter_address eth1: Setting MAC to 00:16:6f:93:c1:9b ipw2200: U ipw_up Configured device on count 0 ipw2200: Detected geography ZZR (14 802.11bg channels, 0 802.11a channels) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 20 (104 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification TODO: Calibration ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 1 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 2 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 3 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 4 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 5 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 6 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 7 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 8 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 9 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 10 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 11 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 12 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 13 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 12 (46 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan result for channel 14 ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification type = 13 (4 bytes) ipw2200: I ipw_rx_notification Scan completed: type 14, 14 channels, 1 status ipw2200: U ipw_debug_config Scan completed, no valid APs matched [CFG 0x00000340 ] ipw2200: U ipw_debug_config Channel unlocked. ipw2200: U ipw_debug_config ESSID unlocked. ipw2200: U ipw_debug_config BSSID unlocked. ipw2200: U ipw_debug_config PRIVACY off ipw2200: U ipw_debug_config RATE MASK: 0x00000FFF Can anybody help me ?
