Applying the patch at
http://ieee80211.sourceforge.net/patches/ieee80211-1.2.16-crypt-fix2.patch
helped with the binary working/not working issue with the new
versions, but I was getting extremely high latency (on the order of
1500ms to my router) after this patch.

I have no idea bout the cause of it all, though.
