Thank you so much, the problem was exactly in the route -n result.
I added the following entry:
0.0.0.0         192.168.0.1     0.0.0.0         UG    0      0        0 eth1
with the command:
route add -net 0.0.0.0/0 gw 192.168.0.1 dev eth1

and now I can work with my ipw2200.
