Hello, I am configuring a computer with a Intel Pro Wireless 2100 card on a Suse9.3 with a Linux 2.6.13 kernel. I checked thaht all options of my kernel are agree with the driver's INSTALL file. Compilation and installation of the driver seems to work well. I load the ieee80211 module. Next I execute this command to load the ipw2100 driver : modprobe ipw2100 The result is : ipw2100: Copyright(c) 2003-2004 Intel Corporation ipw2100: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection ipw2100: eth1: Firmware 'ipw2100-1.3.fw' not available or load failed. ipw2100: eth1: ipw2100_get_firmware failed: -2 ipw2100: eth1: Failed to power on the adapter. ipw2100: eth1: Failed to start the firmware. ipw2100Error calling regiser_netdev. ipw2100: probe of 0000:01:01.0 failed with error -5 I see on the sourceforge page the solution of this problem. I checked that my firmwares are at the good place. (/usr/lib/hotplug/firmware) I increase the default timeout value to 100. When I re-run : modprobe ipw2100, the system freeze. I use the ipw2100-1.2.0 (stable release). Did some one could help me ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
